The original Cosmic Chants-book describes it as a “Bengali song”. It is called Mojlo je mor mon bhromora and was composed by Kamalakanta Bhattacharya, who also wrote the original song for “Who Tells Me Thou Art Dark” and “Where Is There Love”.
Yogananda sang only the first verse of that ancient song. These are the lyrics:
Mojlo je mor mon bhromora,
Shyama podo neel komole.
Kali podo neel komole,
Shyama podo neel komole.
Engrossed is the bee of my mind
On the blue lotus feet of my Divine Mother
On the blue lotus feet of Kali,
On the blue lotus feet of Shyama (Kali)
Yogananda included the lyrics in Whispers From Eternity.
